1978 F1
WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
COMMEMORATIVE EDITION
UK Domestic
# 026 of 99 built |
Car & Classic ad September 2012
A time
warp car,a real sports car, not run since mid 1980s and dry stored
since.Original in virtually all respects and in stunning
condition. Will require re-commissioning and not running. Near
perfect original interior, original chassis with only light
surface corrosion, no signs of accident damage. Bodywork is really
outstanding.
These cars are very scarce in this condition as most have been
shunted or damaged in someway or lack the original interior which
is absolutely irreplaceable. This is No 026 of approximately 100
built for the UK market to commemorate the drivers and
constructors F-1 Championship of 1979.Probably fewer than 50
remain in any shape at all. Absolutely a handful survive as
originals and are rapidly appreciating partly due to the huge
interest in the classic car market by investors, also because of
the very high profile the Black and Gold Lotus cars have in F-1.
The car having been dry stored will be moved to PNM
Engineering for re-comissioning.The price will therfore rise
commensurate with works conducted.Initially this will involve
getting the engine running with a full service.
3 previous owners and about 32K miles. |
